The Journey from Jamaica to Virginia and the Dream of Becoming a Dentist - Dr. Patricia Dunbar
This week on the KORE Women podcast, Dr. Summer Watson welcomes Dr. Patricia Dunbar, who grew up in Portland, Jamaica and immigrated to the United States to attend Bates College in Maine. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her General Practice Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center.
Dedicated to ensuring her patients receive quality care, in a sincere and compassionate environment, Dr. Dunbar continues to pursue training to remain advanced in her field. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Northern Virginia Dental Association.
At Dunbar Smile Center, she values the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients and each treatment plan is customized to meet individual oral health, functional and aesthetic goals.
When not in the office, she can be found spending time with her son Gavin who she describes as her greatest joy. She also enjoys outdoor runs, hiking, traveling, spending time at the beach, and exploring new recipes.
